CRMC Supports Operation Refuge Through Recycling

CLEVELAND, TX (January 9, 2009) – The Administrative Team, members of the Medical Staff and all hospital employees at Cleveland Regional Medical Center are joining in the effort to make Cleveland a better place through recycling.

Recycling bins for paper, plastics and aluminum are located in various areas throughout the hospital to make participation more convenient. All items collected will be donated to Operation Refuge. Operation Refuge uses the recycling dollars to help provide food and resources to residents of the city of Cleveland and surrounding areas.  Also, Operation Refuge conducts food drives through the year to support the food pantry.  Cleveland Regional Medical Center’s Senior Circle group is an active supporter of these efforts.

As custodians of the environment, we are responsible for preserving and protecting our resources for ourselves and for future generations,”  said Cory Countryman, CEO of Cleveland Regional Medical Center. “Recycling is one of the best ways to have a positive impact on the community in which we live. For many of us, recycling is a way to give back to the community that is there for us each day.”

In addition to this recycling project, Cleveland Regional Medical Center participates in various community events through the year.
